Sony DCRDVD101 8cm DVD-RW Camcorder

Sony's DCR-DVD101 DVD Handycam® camcorder, records on a 3 inch DVD-R or DVD-RW media and incorporates a 2.5 inch swivel screen hybrid LCD. With a start/stop record button right on the LCD frame, the DVD camcorder was newly designed with ease-of-use in mind. The compact body is approximately 17% smaller than last years model and comes in a very distinguished dark blue colour. The disc based recording system uses a thumbnail image (created every time you start recording) DVD menu for quick access to favourite scenes and pictures without the fuss of having to rewind and fast-forward tapes.

Compactness

The new DVD Handycam camcorder from Sony is approximately 17% smaller than the 2003 generation. Weighing 490g, and only 50.0 x 88 x 136mm small, you can literally carry it everywhere you go.

Chaptered menu with images

Because the new DVD Handycam® camcorder uses 8cm DVD media you can skip through your home videos using a simple chapter menu. Just like a DVD movie. No more wading through endless tape, just choose your chapter and watch.

Universally accepted DVD-R/RW format

The new DVD Handycam® camcorder records using the widely adapted DVD-R/RW formats, recording on an 8cm disc. Allowing you to playback your DVD on just about any DVD player once the disc is finalized. Using a DVD-RW disc, you can even perform simple edits to your video right on your DVD camcorder before you choose to finalize your video.
