Flash Tuner Packages for the XR6 Turbo
CAPA is proud
to present the new BA tuning software solution, FLASH TUNER. FLASH TUNER
was developed with the assistance of SCT in America for the total BA range
from the standard 6 and 8 cylinder to the Turbo up to Re-engineered 2
bar map programming for forced induction XR8's and GT's. The system consists
of a cable, control box and software. Programs are loaded and stored in
the hardware box, the box may also be connected to a laptop for adjustments
and tuning.
The process
of loading a new program consist of connecting to the OBDII port where
the hardware removes the original program from the ECU, stores it and
then loads the modified program into the ECU. The plug and box are then
disconnected and stored, the car is now ready to drive. If the ECU needs
to be returned to standard, it is a simple process of reloading the standard
program.
In the future
CAPA will develop software and cam packages as well as software and exhaust
packages for all of the Ford models.
One Box can
be cleared and used on another car for as many as 5 cars, so a $970 investment
over 3 different cars has to be the most inexpensive tune ever at under
$340 per car.

Overview
Flash Tuner
Boxes
A: Once the
Flash Tuner has been used to program a vehicle, it will be VIN locked
to that particular vehicle until the programming has been returned to
the stock setting.
B: The Flash
Tuner Box can store up to 3 custom programs at any one time, loading to
and from the flash tuner box can be done an infinite amount of times.
C: The flash
tuner can be changed over to a new vehicle, it must be cleared using software
available from CAPA. This process can only be performed 5 times. Then
it must go back to SCT / USA for a Reset.
D: Software
will be available to download original program from vehicle processor
if code has not already been made public. This software must be requested.
E: General
software files generated by CAPA will become available to all dealers
upon request.
F: CAPA Tune
Files are also available as part of the Flash Tuner for retail sale. This
retail product is also available to dealers.

Designed for workshops and tuning shops, it gives total flexibility to
produce custom programs on a laptop / pc, then the ability to load program
into flash tuner box to facilitate loading new programs into vehicles.
This program is Windows Based, has a help screen giving the user information.
